Mid-Atlantic Lesbian Writers Conference

Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center will host a Writer’s Conference focusing on writers of Lesbian literature, and providing workshops and panels for all levels of LGBT and mainstream writers, on May 6th, 2017

The Conference kicks off on Friday, May 5th with a hilarious comedy show by award winning journalist and Letters From CAMP Rehoboth columnist Fay Jacobs. Fay’s show, Aging Gracelessly: 50 Shades of Fay has been making people laugh all over the Country from NYC to New Orleans to the West Coast. She was featured on an Olivia Caribbean Cruise and played to a sold out crowd hosted byBradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, last year. Ticket's for Fay's show are included for conference attendees.

Conference check-in on Saturday, May 6th begins at 9:30am. Program begins at 10:00am. Workshops and panels are open to all writers and readers of any genre.

Marketing - or How I Made $250,000 On One Self-Published Book: (Catherine M. Wilson) Covering steps to Self-Publishing, ebook creation, and how simple on-line marketing drives ebook sales. 

Panel on Memoir Writing: (Terry Mutchler) Mutchler, whose critically acclaimed book, “Beneath the Beautiful Dome”,  tells the story of her secret relationship with Illinois State Senator Penny Severns, and how her partner’s family froze her out after Severns' death from breast cancer. She will moderate a panel on memoir writing.

All authors participating in the Conference will have an opportunity to read during the Saturday Evening Author Readings, beginning at 7:30pm (doors open at 7pmMay 6TH

Registration is $95 per person and includes workshop and panel attendance, light breakfast and light lunch during the Conference, author’s get a slot to read work and sign and sell books during the Author Readings on Saturday, and a ticket to Fay Jacobs' show on Friday evening.

Special Hotel Room Rates: 4 blocks from The Center at the Holiday Inn Center City Allentown begins at $125 per night; And at the Renaissance Hotel, 2 1/2 blocks from The Center begin at $169 per night. (Hotel block rate links are forthcoming)
