Clergy across faith traditions are invited to Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center's clergy workshop, part of its 2022 LGBTQ Spirituality Symposium, which will focus on Queering Ritual. This workshop will be facilitated by Rabbi Denise L. Eger, editor of Mishkan Ga'avah: Where Pride Dwells, a celebration of LGBTQ Jewish life and ritual. She is the founding rabbi of Congregation Kol Ami in West Hollywood and is past president of the Central Conference of American Rabbi's.
The workshop is an opportunity to engage directly with Rabbi Eger, and with other clergy, about how clergy can create rituals that celebrate LGBTQ+ people's lives. Participation in the workshop is limited to 15 attendees, and costs $30, which includes a copy of Mishkan Ga'avah.
The clergy workshop will be at 4pm on January 24th for one hour. Following the workshop, at 6pm there will be a community conversation with Rabbi Eger and Rev. Becky Sausser, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ in Allentown. Clergy attending the workshop are invited to attend both events!
Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center's 2022 LGBTQ Spirituality Symposium is funded in part by a grant from the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation.
This workshop will take place in-person at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, 522 W. Maple St., Allentown, and face masks are required for all attendees regardless of vaccination status.
