Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing

[Image description: A rectangular graphic with a white and purple background. Logos for Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center, Weaver Wellness Clinic, and Comprehensive Labs are in the upper left corner. Underneath is an image of a clipboard next to a closed vial with a mouth swab inside. The images are in front of horizontal intersectional Pride stripes. To the right of the images is white text that reads "COVID-19 testing," "mouth swab method," "1st and 3rd Tuesdays, 4:00-6:00 p.m." and "522 West Maple Street at Bayard Rustin Way, Allentown, PA 18101."]

Help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community! LGBTQ-friendly asymptomatic COVID-19 testing are available at our center on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. Testing is done using the mouth swab method.

No appointment needed! Testing is available for people of all ages. For individuals 18 and under parent consent is needed. Contact [email protected] with questions.

As we continue to provide COVID-19 testing at our center, our current provider is now requiring proof of health insurance, as a result of an end of government funding.

If you don't have health insurance, you'll have to pay for the PCR test, which will cost $85. However, the center will offer free rapid tests for uninsured community members. Please note that these tests have more potential for false negatives compared to the PCR tests we offer.

If you're looking for low-cost health insurance, we have a certified Pennie assister available to help you. Stop by our center during our Get Tested Tuesdays events from 4 to 6 p.m. to learn about your options.

Testing is provided in partnership with Weaver Wellness Clinic and Comprehensive Labs.

  • When you enter the center, you will be greeted by one of our staff and given an intake form, where you can choose what testing services you would like for the day.
  • When you select getting COVID-tested, you will be directed to a room with socially-distanced chairs where you can wait until it's your turn to get tested.
  • The COVID-19 tester will fill out some short paperwork with you and then swab your mouth.
  • Then, you will be good to go and should receive results in 3-5 days.
