Artist Reception: Dead & Alive

The Fine Art Galleries at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center welcome our community to attend the artist reception for Dead & Alive: Floral Photography by Richard Begbie and Will Hübscher. The exhibit, curated by Deborah Rabinsky, is on display from January 7th through February 15th, 2019 with an artist reception on January 17th from 6-8pm.

Dead & Alive presents fine art floral photography by two gay male photographers from the Lehigh Valley whose works capture flowers at different moments of life. The artists draw from both personal and universal symbolism of the cycle of life. Begbie's fragrant and iconic shots embody the essence and the life of his floral subjects, while Hübscher's more abstract works feature colorful and creative placements of dead flowers that hold memories encapsulated in time. This exhibit challenges the gendered assumptions about the subjects of male photographers and prepares viewers for the Spring season to come.

This is a sober social event at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center. No alcohol will be served.
