In 2015, the Pennsylvania Department of Health partnered with Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center to broadly administer what is now the Pennsylvania LGBTQIA+ Health Survey, but has been known historically as the Pennsylvania LGBTQ Health Needs Assessment. A comprehensive assessment of the health and wellness needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, Queer, intersex, and asexual Pennsylvanians
The project began as a pilot survey that was administered in 2015-2016 through 6 regional surveys. But starting in 2018 it was administered with a single statewide sample. The survey happens every other year now.
Starting February 4th, 2026 through the end of March, we are collecting data for the 2026 PA LGBTQIA+ Health Survey. Our goal and intent is to have the largest and most inclusive data sample as possible so please help us by taking the survey today and sharing it with your friends, family, and coworkers.
