Join us for a conversation with Jay Maddock, Executive Director of the Kalamazoo Gay & Lesbian Resource Center in Michigan. Jay will be sharing his perspective about passing, privilege and power as it relates to Trans identities.
Jay has a social work background and immense experience working with youth and people of color. Before joining the Kalamazoo Gay and Lesbian Resource Center (KGLRC), he worked to develop and strengthen the Calhoun County Coalition for Inclusion, a gathering of church leaders, educators, mental health professionals, social service agencies, students, youth, advocates, and community members who are dedicated to creating a welcoming, inclusive and affirming community for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer youth in Calhoun County. He has served as Executive Director of KGLRC since July 2014, after working as their program director for two years.
