Tuesday, September 22nd is National Voter Registration Day and to help spread the word, we will be hosting a Facebook Live Q&A at 8:30 a.m. You can participate by going to our Facebook page now to comment with your questions you need answers to about voting, mail in ballots, and pandemic preparedness. Then, be sure to tune in on Facebook on Tuesday morning to catch our Q&A Session with Ariel Torres. Spread the word about the importance of voting by sharing the post with your friends too!
Afterwards, make sure you are ready to vote by taking these easy steps:
- Register to vote: October 19 is the official deadline to register to vote in the general election. Register to vote here: pa-votes.org/bslgbt.
- Apply for a mail-in ballot: This is the first year that all Pennsylvanians can vote by mail. As we continue to take precautions against the coronavirus, this is the safest option for those of us who are at higher risk. October 27 is the official deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot for the general election. Sign up for a mail-in ballot, here: pa-votes.org/bslgbt.
- Sign up for election reminders: Election Day is November 3. Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm for those who are voting in person. Those who are voting via mail-in ballots should mail their ballot so that it is postmarked by or before this date, or they drop it off at a county election office before the 8:00 pm that day. Sign up for election reminders, here: pa-votes.org/bslgbt.
