Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center is excited to announce Project Pride Café, a transformative extension of our work that meets critical needs in our community. The Pride Café will serve as a safe and accessible social community hub and will offer key job training opportunities for LGBTQ+ youth.
As the Lehigh Valley’s LGBTQ+ community discovers new and exciting ways to socialize and network, the Pride Café provides another affirming environment for LGBTQ+ community members and allies to connect, celebrate, and gather. It will be another visible reminder that the Lehigh Valley welcomes LGBTQ+ visitors and residents and that queer youth can envision bright futures through career readiness.
The center has quietly raised nearly $300,000 for the project through community stakeholders and donors – and, now, Project Pride Café is going public!
This project will go through three phases.
- Phase One is a three-month design-to-build period (now underway).
- Phase Two will involve budgeting for the project.
- Phase Three will be construction.
The hope is to break ground in the spring of 2024 and to open the doors to the Pride Café in the summer of 2024. We'll update this page as needed, including how you can help us!
