The Fine Art Galleries at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center present getting off: drawings by Gerald Simcoe, from January 3rd to February 21, 2020 with an artist reception on January 16th.

Simcoe studied classical portraiture at the Art Students' League of NY. has exhibited his works of art at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Delaware College of Art and Design, and the Southern Allegheny Museum of Art, as well as many galleries in New York, Pennsylvania, Cape Cod, and Florida. His work is included in the permanent collection of the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art and the Northampton County Courthouse.

This sexy and serious exhibit features Simcoe's masturbation drawings, mostly created in the Erotic Drawing Group at New York's Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art. The intimate exhibit invites viewers to witness personal moments of pleasure and excitement from cisgender queer men in New York City. The drawings feature Simcoe's realist celebration of nude bodies while also capturing movement and shadows.

The exhibit is curated by Deborah Rabinsky. Art purchases support the artist and year-round free programs at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center.

This is a sober social event at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center. No alcohol will be served.
