Lehigh Valley's Pride festival has been a vibrant community event since 1993. In 2017, Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley merged with Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center. The exciting community event provides a spotlight on LGBT arts and culture, connects thousands of community members to local resources, provides full-day programming for LGBT youth and teens, and celebrates the diversity in our community. Lehigh Valley Pride has grown to include over 5,000 attendees. Allentown is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 70 miles east of New York City. The Lehigh Valley is home to a population of approximately of 800,000 people. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Lehigh Valley Pride Festival is virtual.

Kid's Space sponsored by ESSA Bank and Trust --- August 16, 10am
Youth up to age 13 and their families are invited to an hour of family-friendly pride activities featuring children’s book author Jacinta Bunnell who will read from her soon-to-be-released and highly anticipated new Children’s Book, A More Graceful Shaboom. This is the first children’s book to have a non-binary protaganist who uses they/them pronouns. Then Tirsa Rothman from Metropolitan Community Church of the Lehigh Valley will facilitate arts and crafts, and finally, Miss Amie Vanité will lead Drag Queen Story Time, sponsored by Gardner Law Offices.

This is an open space for parents, adults, community leaders and educators to learn more about Project Silk! meet our new staff members and learn about some of the new programming that we are adding!

PSLV Presents: Youth Voices (Pride During COVID-19) 5pm-6pm
Join us for a conversation with youth leaders about how they are celebrating Pride & current world issues. Youth will dive into historical moments such as the Stonewall Riots and the parallels of the current times that we are in. This conversation will be youth led and we invite you all to join us for some insight and compassionate conversations.
