The Little Things

Exhibit begins: July 2  •  Artist Reception: Friday, July 12 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

"The Little Things", features original paintings by Rhode Island artist, Sam Glevick. With the use of acrylic gouache, they explore ways of creating a sense of wonder, curiosity and conversation in their paintings. Each piece is created by utilizing not only color, light and composition, but often fragments of landscapes, and wildlife. Through these methods, they attempt to compose storytelling moments that feel familiar or nostalgic to the viewer. Moments that suggest the presence of life, a glimmer of déjà vu, a long lost memory or a greater appreciation for the little things, that may otherwise be overlooked.

All paintings will be available to purchase directly through the artist via upon the opening of the show.

This exhibit will be shown in the Queer Galleries at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center July 2 - 27, Tuesday through Friday.
