Together we'll learn the basics of black-out and found poetry and then apply those skills to making our own black-out and found poems using texts from queer Lehigh Valley history. The class is led by poet and Cultural & Community-Building Programs Manager Robin Gow (they/he/ze) and Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center's Scholar-in-Residence, Mary Foltz, Ph.D. (she/her).

The first half will be lecture-style, and the second half will be a time and space to create poems and enjoy community.

All visitors to the center will need to wear a mask.

Email [email protected] to RSVP and/or if you have any questions about the workshop.

Funding has been provided in part by PA Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
