Lehigh Valley Pride

UPDATE: Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center has made the challenging but necessary decision to transition Lehigh Valley Pride -- a 5,000 person annual celebration of LGBT arts and culture now in its 27th year -- to a virtual event still to be held on August 16, 2020. Simply stated, it is clear that it will not be safe to hold an event of this magnitude in person this summer.

The details of the virtual pride festival will be announced shortly but will include local and national talent, community spotlights, and more.

This is not our first virus and LGBT people know about how to survive a plague. We know how important it is to listen to public health information and to adapt our programs to meet the current need. We also know how important Lehigh Valley Pride is to our community -- and the virtual event this year will be exciting and engaging. It will still be a celebration of LGBT arts, culture, and community. It will still be a platform to demand equity. It will still be pride. Just in a different format. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements about this virtual pride celebration!

Lehigh Valley's Pride festival has been a vibrant community event since 1993. In 2017, Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley merged with Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center.

The exciting community event provides a spotlight on LGBT arts and culture, connects thousands of community members to local resources, provides full-day programming for LGBT youth and teens, and celebrates the diversity in our community. Lehigh Valley Pride has grown to include over 5,000 attendees. Allentown is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 70 miles east of New York City. The Lehigh Valley is home to a population of approximately of 800,000 people.
