25 Years of Pride logo

Lehigh Valley's Pride festival has been a vibrant community event since 1993. In 2017, Pride of the Greater Lehigh Valley merged with Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center. 

The exciting community event provides a spotlight on LGBT arts and culture, connects thousands of community members to local resources, provides full-day programming for LGBT youth and teens, and celebrates the diversity in our community. Lehigh Valley Pride has grown to include over 5,000 attendees. Allentown is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 70 miles east of New York City. The Lehigh Valley is home to a population of approximately of 800,000 people.

Admission: $5, $5, children 12 and under free, youth 14-21 can earn a free ticket to pride through participation in Project SILK.

Meet and Greet with Drag Stars Silky and A'Keria: Just 200 Meet and Greet tickets will be available at the entrance gates on a first-come, first-served basis. Meet and Greet tickets are $5 each, available until they run out, so get to Pride early!

Parking: Parking will be available just a few blocks away at Muhlenberg College in their parking lots at 23rd and Gordon streets and 23rd and Liberty streets. In addition street parking is widely available near the festival. Limited ADA parking spaces are available at Muhlenberg Elementary School at 2102 W. Washington St., Allentown, PA 18104.

Accessibility: ASL Interpretation is offered at both stages and reserved seating is available at both stages for older adults and people with disabilitiesPride is open to all!

Where to Stay: Homewood Suites by Hilton Allentown-Bethlehem Airport has a special room rate for Lehigh Valley Pride if you book before August 1st. Our other hotel partner, The Center at Holiday Inn, has special rates available as well. 

Lehigh Valley Pride is proud to be an LGBT smoke-free event. Smoking, vaping, juuling, and chewing tobacco are not permitted anywhere at the festival.

Thursday August 15 at 6:30pm - Film Screening: The Reel Queer Film Series at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center presents a free screening of The Garden Left Behind on August 15th at 6:30pm. Worship @ Pride, 10:30am-12pm: Faith programming at Pride ensures that LGBT people of faith can start their festival empowered through their spirituality. Separate morning services for Jewish and Christian pre-pride worship will be available on-site at the Jewish Community Center of Allentown at 10:30am. Christian services will be sponsored by Metropolitan Community Church and led by Rev. Beth Goudy. The Jewish service will be led by Rabbi Malkah Binah Klein of Congregation Am Haskalah. Both services will be inside the Jewish Community Center at 10:30am. 

Lehigh Valley Pride, 12 noon - 6pm

Official Lehigh Valley Pride Afterparty, 5pm until 2am at Stonewall Lehigh Valley, 28 N. 10th st. Allentown, PA. $5 for Stonewall Lehigh Valley temporary tattoo from Lehigh Valley Pride. $7 without. Sponsored by Tito's Handmade Vodka. Drink specials benefit Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center.

Highlights for Lehigh Valley Pride this year include:

  • Pride Rally: The first Pride was a riot, and to honor the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, we are starting Pride with a rally at 12:30pm at The Acoustic Stage.
  • The Tito's Handmade Vodka Drag Stage: featuring headliners Silky Ganache and A'Keria Davenport from RuPaul's Drag Race Season 11, as well as local drag entertainment all day!
  • The Acoustic Stage: featuring performances by headliners Emma's Revolution as well as Philadelphia Freedom Marching Band, That Virginia, Ophelia with Dina Hall and Beth Sherby, and the Lehigh Valley Gay Men's Chorus. The Acoustic Stage is a sober-social space, a space at Pride free from alcohol, to create a welcoming atmosphere for people living in recovery. 
  • The PPL Artist Promenade: featuring a live art making competition and LGBT artists exhibiting their works of art!
  • Drag Bingo: Give back with Bingo benefiting local HIV/AIDS non-profit FACT Lehigh Valley!
  • RMA Kids Space: A full-day of programs for youth up to age 13, including two drag queen story hours with Miss Amie Vanité and a color-by-number mural painting project in honor of Stonewall 50!
  • Project SILK Teen Space: A brave space for a full-day of youth-led activities at Pride for attendees age 14-21.
  • The Pride Pub: Featuring local beer and mead from Fegley's Brewworks and The Colony Meadery.
  • The Allentown Farmer's Market Food Court: featuring a diverse array of local food options at Pride!
  • Remarks by U.S. Congresswoman Susan Wild, Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Rachel Levine, Mayor Ray O'Connell, and County Executive Phil Armstrong and others (at the Acoustic Stage).
  • More than 150 vendors including artists, retailers, and non-profits.
  • Faith Programming at Pride - pre-pride morning worship services for Jewish and Christian community members

Volunteering at Lehigh Valley Pride 2019:

This is an exciting year for Pride -- it's the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, and the 26th year of Pride here in Allentown. We are hosting our 26th annual Lehigh Valley Pride festival on Sunday, August 18th on the Grounds of the Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley, located at 702 N 22nd St, Allentown, PA 18104. To honor Stonewall50, we have themed our festival this year "Millions of Moments of Pride." And we are writing to ask if you will join us as a volunteer!

We will need volunteers the day before, the day of, and the day after the festival. This event can only be successful with the support of more than 200 volunteers!
