10:00 - 11:45 a.m. - Reading Under the Rainbow
My Sister, Daisy, written by Adria Karlsson, illustrated by Linus Curci
Incorporates reading with all the fun, costumes, glitter, and glamour a queer artist brings! At this monthly event, a queer reader leads a story time around an LGBTQ+ picture book, with time afterward for snacks and for parents and kids to mingle.
|
11:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Gayme Day
A variety of games will be available to play and choose from and share community. There will be a Nintendo Wii for gaming. Controllers are limited, so participants are encouraged to bring their own controllers.
|
12:30 - 2:30 p.m. - Pre-Pride Party For youth ages 13-17 Get ready for Pride season by making a t-shirt to wear to all the events you will be attending this summer! We will have free, white t-shirts in various sizes available, but please feel free to bring your own. We will have fabric markers and iron-on vinyl available for customized t-shirts. Enjoy some sunshine and play with our jumbo yard games & sprinklers just outside the youth space. You will learn about how Big Tobacco has traditionally targeted the LGBTQ+ communities by sponsoring Pride events and how tobacco use can be harmful to developing lungs.
